Soldiers train with horses, learn valuable skills

A Soldier with the Army’s 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), pulls the rope to secure a single diamond knot at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Sept. 3. Members of Eglin’s Sand and Spur Riding Club provide volunteers and horses to train service members how to saddle, pack, ride and care for horses. The training is done to expose them to horses and to teach techniques they can apply when deployed to remote locations. (U.S. Air Force photo/Ilka Cole)
