Honor Guard trains local sheriffs
Senior Airman Mehgan Evans, a trainer with the Team Eglin Honor Guard, shows Capt. Kenneth LaPee, of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, the Air Force way of holding and moving a flag during a training session on base Feb. 1. The OCSO team came together with Eglin’s honor guard to learn military protocols used during various ceremonies such as retirements, funerals, etc. During this first training session Eglin’s Airmen taught them proper movements while carrying flags and rifles. This was the first of many proposed training sessions between the two teams. (U.S. Air Force photo/Samuel King Jr.)
