DBIDS required for ID cards
Staff Sgt. Alicia Lofton, 96th Security Forces Squadron, updates a common access card in DBIDS. DBIDS, or the Defense Biometrics Identification System, is an enhanced security system that uses biometrics to monitor entry control points to installations. It uses photographs and fingerprints as the source of identification. Anyone requiring access to the base must register their ID card in DBIDS. (USAF photo/Randy Gon)
