Team effort

Matthew Hartz, 16th Electronic Warfare Squadron, and his son Gage prepare for the first leg of the 12th Annual “My First Tri” triathlon at Eglin Air Force Base Fla., June 18. Hartz pulls his son behind him during the swim portion and pushes him in a custom built cart during the run portion. The father and son team finished 103 overall for alumni at one hour and five minutes. The Hartzs have also completed two half-marathons together. Almost 350 people of all ages “tried” at the 12th annual event. The triathlon consists of a 200-meter swim, eight-mile bike ride, then a 2.5-mile run. (U.S. Air Force photo/Samuel King Jr.)
