Rounding third

A player rounds third base sprinting for home during a practice session Aug. 27. The Air Force Softball team began tryouts and practice last week at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Each player was timed on their sprint from second base to home plate during the practice. The head coach will sort through 26 players to fill the 14-man roster prior to competing in the Armed Forces Championship, Sept. 18-24. The Air Force team won the championship last year.
