Ranger for a day
Army Staff Sgts. Heath Henley and Anthony Johnson, 6th Ranger Training Battalion Reptile Team, introduce Stumpy, a female American alligator, to the Team Eglin Honorary Commanders at their quarterly visit to Team Eglin. Stumpy got that particular nickname because her foot was bitten off by a larger, more aggressive alligator. The Honorary Commanders got the chance to visit the 6th Ranger Training Battalion at Fort Rudder June 29 as part of the program's quarterly tour. The program was created to establish and maintain positive relations with civilian counterparts as well as civic and business leaders. It also allows the general public to experience the mission by spending time with their military counterpart to observe their duties and on base operations. The experience the honorary commanders come away with was an inside look at the role Eglin plays in supporting the Air Force mission and national defense.(U.S. Air Force photo/Errica Bennett)
