Gold Medal Chief
Chief Master Sgt. (Ret) Walter Richardson, addresses the crowd after accepting a Congressional Gold Medal from Congressman Jeff Miller April 6 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Chief Richardson joined the military in 1949 and served in the infamous "Tuskegee Airmen," an Army Air Corps program that trained African Americans to fly and maintain combat aircraft.
