EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Senior Airman Christopher Smith, 96th Security Forces Squadron, shows Delores Bouley how to use the eyesight of an M-4 Carbine during a 2009 Citizen’s Police Academy here, Nov. 17. Attendees got a first-hand look at the weapons Security Forces uses to protect the base. The five-week program aims to educate spouses of servicemembers and civilian personnel of the services Security Forces provides for the community. The class features DUI procedures, weapons breakdowns and K-9 demonstration. The class is held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Building 229. Editor's Note: This photostory is the first in a series following the 2009 Citizen's Police Academy all the way to graduation. It will highlight the five-week class and explain what attendees experience during the class. The series will highlight weapons breakdowns, live taser demo, live K-9 (military working dog) demo, DUI procedures and the graduation ride-along.
