High performance safety
TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Tech. Sgt. Jimmy Reed, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., firefighter and Air Force reservist at Keesler AFB, Miss., stands watch over the action in the pits as the No. 88 team performs a quick gas and go pit stop Oct. 6 during the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race. John Piccuito, J.R. Suddarth and Sergeant Reed, Eglin Air Force Base firefighters, are among a group of firefighters from all over the country that go to the spring and fall Talladega NASCAR races to make sure the drivers and race teams are safe. They provided safety for the Friday night Automobile Racing Club of America RE/MAX Series race, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Saturday and the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race on Sunday.
