Sifting sands
Airmen and community members watch as sand is sifted looking for ancient artifacts during a tour of an archeological site on the Eglin reservation Sept. 25. They toured seldom seen parts of Eglin to learn more about the base. A scientific team from the Air Force's cultural resource branch excavates ancient artifacts and pottery in an effort to preserve archeological items found on the reservation.
