EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE. Fla. -- Flag bearers lined the balcony of the Air Force Armament Museum June 11, 2004, during a Military Order of the World Wars Massing of the Colors ceremony. Retired Lt. Col. Pete Straub, who passed away during the Fall of 2006, organized the first gathering in 1995. Each gathering was held on a day before or after Flag Day for 11 consecutive years.
