NARE tests Eglin's readiness
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. –Victims lay inside an aircraft after a simulated crash during a nuclear accident response exercise here, Aug. 18. The NARE put Eglin’s readiness to the test after a simulated C-17 Globemaster declared an in-flight-emergency and subsequently crashed with 10 people and a special weapon on board. These exercises maintain readiness for Eglin’s emergency responders, follow-on forces and maintain qualifications of command and control personnel. During the exercise, agencies had the opportunity to work with other Eglin units they don’t train with regularly. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Airman Anthony Jennings)
