MSgt McClendon

Master Sgt. Dewayne McClendon, 33rd Operations Group, and his wife, Brenda, pose for a photo at the hospital where the sergeant has been on medical leave near Hanscom AFB, Mass. He is diagnosed with amyloidosis, a rare disease that affects blood flow, and had a successful heart transplant May 24. Members of his unit here plan an Aug. 21 golf tournament to raise money for his family. Although he was released June 2 from Massachusetts General Hospital, Sergeant McClendon will be assigned to Hanscom until retirement next spring.
