Eagle's face lift

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Col. Todd Harmer, 33rd Fighter Wing commander, places the final decal, "Nomads," on the right vertical stabilizer of the F-15 Eagle static display on Eglin Blvd., March 30. Nine Airmen from the 33rd Maintenance Squadron corrosion section took on the project to fully restore the aircraft. They coated it with more than 34 gallons of primer and paint; replaced the decals and stenciled the lettering. The aircraft stands as a visual testament of the men and women who have served the 33rd FW. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Mike Meares)
