Doolittle Raiders
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Two of the three B-25 Mitchells which participated in the Doolittle Reunion event at Duke Field May 31 were given the green light for take off by an airfield technician. The site, also known as Field 3, is one of two locations the Doolittle Raiders trainined for their now historic mission to bomb key locations in Japan in 1942 during World War II.
