Doolittle Raiders

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Six of the surviving 16 Doolittle Raiders were in attendance for the 66th anniversary of the Doolittle Raider on Japan. The Airmen were part of a secret mission designed to retaliate against the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Dec. 7, 1941. The airmen were successful in their mission and were named from the Doolittle raiders for Lt. Col. James "Jimmy" Doolittle. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Staff Sgt. Stacia Zachary)
