ONE exercise
Master Sgt. Shay Thigpen, 58th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, hastily moves to and from F-15 Eagles preparing for take-off in simulated alert status Dec. 17. As the pro-super, Sergeant Thigpen, oversaw all maintenance operations, ensuring jets were prepped safely and to standard by 33rd Fighter Wing maintainers during a week-long wing exercise. Practicing how to “scramble” provided beneficial training to the Nomads who can be called up to support an Air Force Operation Noble Eagle tasking at a moment’s notice.
