Eglin first stop for new commander

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Gen. Don Hoffman makes Eglin his first visit as the new leader of Air Force Material Command Dec. 5. During the two-day visit, the general held an Air Armament Center town hall meeting elaborating on several topics he said are important, including acquisition excellence, resources conservation, job vacancies, motivating experienced military and civilian to stay with the Air Force, workforce diversity and safety. He said he gained an appreciation for infrastructure issues, community interaction, the challenges of the Joint Strike Fighter bed-down, range management, and the complexity of airspace management.
