Air Force leader visits Eglin

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Housing Manager Kathy Lawhon briefs Kathleen Ferguson Sept. 18, while Col. Bruce McClintock, 96th Air Base Wing commander and Col. Dennis Yates, 96 Civil Engineer Group commander, look on. As the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Environment and Logistics, Mrs. Ferguson is responsible for the management, policy and oversight of the $6 billion annual Air Force installation and facility programs. She was on base to discuss with senior leadership the Base Realignment and Closure initiatives including the beddown of the Joint Strike Fighter and 7th Special Forces Group and Eglin's housing privitization.
