Emerald Breeze Hotel opens

Brig. Gen. David Harris, 96th Test Wing commander and Julian McQueen, CEO and founder of Innisfree Hotels, participate in the opening of the Emerald Breeze Hotel on Okaloosa Island. A large beach ball on the roof houses test monitoring equipment on a permanent, elevated platform. The hotel is one of four enhanced-use leasing projects here. Rent for the use of Air Force land provides payment-in-kind funds to accomplish facility projects that would otherwise not be funded.
