Tree lighting ceremony inspires holiday cheer

Brig. Gen. David Harris, the 96th Test Wing commander, lights up the Eglin Christmas tree with the help of the Saffo family at Team Eglin's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the West Gate Chapel Dec. 6. The Saffo family was chosen for the honor because their father, Lt. Col. Clinton Saffo, is currently deployed. Chaplains and senior leadership led the event with messages of unity and awards for the base-wide, life-sized card decoration contest. Following the lighting of the tree, Santa Claus arrived by fire truck to meet with the children and hear their Christmas wishes. (U.S. Air Force photo/Sara Vidoni)
