Lightning strikes thrice
All three F-35 Lightning II variants along with two F/A-18 Hornets line up at the end of the runway prior to take off Aug. 14 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. This was the first time all three had been in the air at the same time over Eglin. To date, the Air Force, Marine Corps and the Navy have flown more than 2,000 sorties here.
