CGOC deployed troop care package drive
The Company Grade Officer’s Council and volunteers set up stations for the numerous items that were donated for care packages at the Eglin Elementary School cafeteria during the troop care drive Dec. 5. The CGOC collected 2,500 cards, letters and drawings from local schools and the Red Cross. These cards, letters and drawings were included in the care packages along with books, coffee, magazines, snacks and various comfort items. The items were donated by various community businesses and organizations, and the CGOC, who also hosted the event. Volunteers packed a total of 92 care packages for Eglin’s deployed.
