Annual tree lighting ceremony
Corbyn and Emily Schuler present their wish list to Santa during Eglin’s traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the West Gate Chapel Dec. 5. Capt. Micah Baker, chaplain, led the festivities with a moment of prayer. During the base event, the winner of the base life-sized card decoration contest was announced. Brig. Gen. David Harris, 96th Test Wing commander also addressed the crowd with messages of peace and goodwill before lighting the tree. The chapel sponsored a reception with entertainment and refreshments after Santa Claus arrived by fire truck. (U.S. Air Force photo/Ilka Cole)
