Blue crews besiege the ‘best of year’ competition
A 96th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Blue F-16 Fighting Falcon team performs various tasks leading to the placement of a guided bomb unit on their aircraft during the annual weapons load crew of the year competition Feb. 13 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Two F-16 and two F-15 Eagle teams loaded five weapons on their respective aircraft for the rights to be the load crew of the year for 2014. The timed competition is judged on safety, speed and accuracy. The winner of the competition will be announced at the 96th Maintenance Group’s annual awards banquet in March.
