Maintainers keep radar continuously turning

Eglin Air Force Base’s radar spins continuously sending out and bringing in information regarding location, direction and other critical information about the aircraft located in the base radar air traffic control facility’s area of responsibility. The civilians in the 96th OSS’s Airfield Systems Maintenance Flight are responsible for all of the maintenance and repair of the tower and radar approach control’s electronic equipment as well as the radar itself.
