The Eglin Air Force Base air traffic control tower stands near the middle of the 33rd Fighter Wing runway and at the end of the 96th Test Wing runway. The 96th Operations Support Squadron Airmen civilians in the tower control facilities are responsible for all takeoffs and landings and movement across the base’s runways.
