Air traffic controllers keep Eglin airspace safe
Staff Sgt. Amanda Richardson, 96th Operations Support Squadron, watches her scope from the approach controller position in the radar air traffic control facility at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The Airmen and civilian radar controllers are tasked with guiding aircraft through the more than 900,000 miles of airspace from the surface to 10,000 feet within Eglin’s national airspace.
