Seek Eagle tests POD compatibility on F-15

Samuel Burnham and Irvin Fontanes, Air Force Seek Eagle office, set up equipment for an electromagnetic interference and compatibility test of a LITENING pod on an F-15 Eagle March 18 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The test will measure the frequencies put out by the pod and ensure those transmissions do not interfere with the safe operation of the aircraft. While the testing is performed on the ground, the aircraft is running with aircrew performing various flight procedures and reporting any interference. This test is directly related to the AFSEO mission of ensuring new warfighter capabilities through the application and transfer of aircraft-store compatibility expertise.
