413th FLTS executes aircraft development tests, evaluations

A multi-unit AC-130J flight crew performs a pre-flight instrumentation check before an AC-130J sortie at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., March 27. Flight crews conduct pre-flight checks to verify that all aircraft systems are operating before take-off. The test mission was one of many to evaluate the flying and maneuverability qualities of the aircraft. The 413th Flight Test Squadron plans, executes and reports development tests and evaluations of the Air Force’s Special Operations Command’s aircraft, as well as the Air Force’s vertical lift aircraft.
