Tops in Blue opens season on Emerald Coast

Staff Sgt. Brooke Hairston sings a solo during Tops in Blue’s Freedom’s Song World Tour at the Emerald Coast Convention Center, June 6 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. The Sacramento, Calif., native was one of 37 Airmen selected for the special unit based on her ability to entertain. The TIB team is also the “road crew” for each show. Managed by seven technical personnel, they are responsible for the transporting and setting up more than 65,000 pounds of stage equipment.
