Run kicks off CFC

Leah Starita, seven months, was recognized as the first child runner to cross the finish line of the Combined Federal Campaign Color Fun Run Sept. 17 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Because there were no children runners, Leah was considered the first child to complete the run at 27 minutes and 54 seconds with her father, 2nd Lt. Andrew Starita, pushing her along the three-mile stretch. Medals were awarded for the first male, female and child runners. The run is the first of several events promoting the campaign now through Dec. 3. (U.S. Air Force Photo/Jasmine Porterfield)
