Maintainer prepares Camo F-15 for final flight
Senior Airman Oscar Mares, 96th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, performs preflight checks on an F-15 Eagle prior to a sortie Jan. 20 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The camouflage aircraft is the only one painted this way on the base. Its Jan. 20 sortie marked the last time it would fly with that paint scheme before being returned to the traditional gray. The F-15 was painted that way for its role as an aggressor aircraft in combat flight training exercises at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. (U.S. Air Force photo/Samuel King Jr.)
