Green Dot training
Notebooks displaying Green Dot’s training message, “I Am Not A Bystander” are stacked during base leadership training May 9 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The Green Dot program will be used to train Airmen here and across the Air Force to help reduce power-based interpersonal violence. The idea behind GD is that the small proactive actions of intervention by bystanders will influence the behavior of others to create a ‘new normal’ within their social groups and communities impacting cultural change, teaching that violence and inaction are unacceptable. GD training began recently and is mandatory for all base personnel. (U.S. Air Force photo/Ilka Cole)
