Robert Curry, 96th Weather Squadron weather forecaster, observes the cloud coverage during Tropical Storm Hermine Sept. 1 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Curry’s observation of cloud layers, heights, types and coverage help the 96th WS determine weather conditions. This level of detailed observation ensures safe flight operations for military and commercial aircraft as well as the safety of all base units and personnel.
