Robert Curry, 96th Weather Squadron weather forecaster, evaluates the radar for thunderstorms during Tropical Storm Hermine Sept. 1 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Curry evaluates thunderstorms for height and severity. The information gathered aids pilots and personnel performing ground activities. This level of detailed observation ensures safe flight operations for military and commercial aircraft, as well as the safety of all base units and personnel.
