Nurses monument unveiled at Armament Museum
Kadence Fredericksen, 11-year-old spokesmodel of Purple Heart Chapter 811 and daughter of Master Sgt. Matthew Fredericksen, 6th Special Operations Squadron, speaks during the ceremony to unveil the Nurses Monument Sept. 7 at the Air Force Armament Museum. The tribute is a “thank you” to military and civilian nurses and the first of its kind in Florida. The monument became a reality through the efforts of William Everett, PHC 811, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the AFAM, the Northwest Florida State College nursing program, the Northwest Florida Daily News along with many local businesses and individuals.
