New dorms boost affordable housing at Eglin

The new dorms, buildings 820 and 822 opened for new residents at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida during a ribbon cutting ceremony, July 23, 2025. Each dormitory includes 36 suites with 144 rooms per building. Each room features a full kitchen equipped with an electric stove, built-in microwave, dishwasher, and washer/dryer combo. Private bedrooms come furnished with a full-sized bed, desk, chair, refrigerator, and a bathtub and shower. (Air Force photo by Michelle Gigante)
