Wildlife at home on the range
Endangered Species Biologist, Kathy Gault, 96th Civil Engineer Group, points out a cladonia perforata growing on the Santa Rosa Island Range July 14 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The organism also known as a “deer lichen” is part of the Florida sub-tropical ecosystem and is on the federal list of endangered species of the U.S. The 96th CEG’s, Jackson Guard biologists and volunteers track and monitor wildlife on the water range.
