Satellite pharmacy makes customer-friendly improvements Published April 23, 2018 By Samuel King Jr. Team Eglin Public Affairs EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Two new satellite pharmacy modifications make it easier for customers to put in and pick up their medication prescriptions. To put in prescriptions, there’s now a 24/7 messaging service. Customers can activate their electronic prescription from anywhere now and the medication will be ready within 48 hours at the satellite pharmacy. Prescriptions aren’t automatically filled upon receipt here. The customer must take action to begin the prescription-filling process. The pharmacy will only call customers/patients if there is a problem with the prescription. There will not be a call informing customers the prescription is ready. The messaging service phone number is 850-883-8441. To pick up prescriptions, the satellite pharmacy will open its drive-through service on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. This service is for picking up medication only, no other service will be available during this time, according to pharmacy staff. The new Saturday drive-through hours begin May 5.
