Raptor pit row
Airman Ethan McConnell, 95th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and Senior Airman Zachary Bores, 96th Logistics Readiness Squadron, connect the fuel hose to an F-22A Raptor June 13 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The Airmen were taking part in a hot pitting session for the aircraft. Hot pitting allows for aircrew to fly back to back missions without having to shut down the aircraft. The 96th Petroleum Oil and Lubricants Flight Airmen and civilians fueled the jets via trucks to deconflict with F-35 Lightning II refueling at the hot pit station throughout the week. The Raptors moved to Eglin after Tyndall was hit by Hurricane Michael in October. (U.S. Air Force photo/Samuel King Jr.)
