The 53rd Wing, headquartered at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., serves as the focal point for the Combat Air Forces and perfects lethality by testing new operational capabilities and evaluating fielded capabilities. They bring the future faster by answering warfighter demands for integrated, multi-domain capabilities.
The 53rd Wing is comprised of three groups, comprised of more than 1,600 Airmen, with 25 distinct platforms spread across 16 geographically separated locations throughout the U.S. The wing reports to the United States Air Force Warfare Center at Nellis AFB, Nev., a direct reporting unit to Headquarters Air Combat Command.
