Weather balloon release
Airman 1st Class Timothy White, 96th Weather Squadron, ties the string that will carry the data-gathering radiosonde around a weather balloon March 1 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The radiosonde gathers information like GPS coordinates, wind speed, direction, height, ascension rate, pressure, temperature and humidity. That information is compiled and used by 96th Test Wing engineers for various developmental and operational tests. (U.S. Air Force photo/Samuel King Jr.)
