Gold Star parents honored
Gail Schwartz is presented with a Gold Star lapel pin by Lt. Col. Andrew Clemmensen, 366th Training Squadron, Detachment 3 commander, April 13 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Her son, Tech. Sgt. Matt Schwartz, an explosive ordnance disposal technician, died Jan. 5, 2012 when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device while on patrol in Afghanistan.
