How much is admission?

Admission to the air show is free.

What happens if there is bad weather?

In the event of severe weather, attendees may be required to temporarily evacuate the flight line and seek shelter until event officials determine if the show can safely resume.

What documentation/identification will I need to come on base?

All visitors entering the installation must present a valid, state-issued REAL ID or another form of federally approved identification (i.e., passport).

What items are prohibited from being brought on Eglin AFB for the air show?

Below is a list of prohibited items.  Please check regularly to ensure the list hasn’t been updated:

  • Flags, banners, or signs
  • Weapons of any kind, including pocketknives, pocket tools, scissors, box cutters, Billy clubs, large heavy chain link jewelry or belts, mace, and pepper spray
  • Firearms, ammunition, or explosives of any type
  • Toys resembling firearms or laser pointers
  • Federally prohibited drugs, including marijuana
  • Recreational motorized mobility devices (i.e., electric scooters, golf carts, Segway), bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades
  • Walkie-talkies, HAM radios, or scanners
  • Radio-controlled aircraft and drones
  • Flammable items and fireworks
  • Pets (except for service animals)
  • All aerosols to exclude sunscreen
  • Outside food, alcohol, coolers, grills, or glass containers/bottles
  • Lawn chairs, pop-up tents, or canopy umbrellas
  • Liquid without factory seal intact (baby bottles are exempt)

What will happen if I’m caught with those items on my person or in my car?

Possession of prohibited items at the entry points will result in denial of access to the installation. If prohibited items are discovered on your person or within your vehicle after entering the installation, the items will be confiscated, and appropriate security or legal action will be taken by military/civilian authorities.

What does the search process entail?

For security reasons, we do not disclose specific search methodologies. However, please be advised all attendees and their belongings are subject to search by security personnel prior to entering the air show area.

What types of backpacks/bags am I allowed to bring on base?

  • Clear backpacks of any size
  • Small purses and clutch bags
  • Diaper bags (when accompanying an infant)
  • Medically necessary bags (subject to inspection)

Are cameras allowed?

Yes, but camera bags will be searched.

Can I bring a mobility scooter?

Yes. Personal medically required electric mobility scooters are permitted on the flight line but remain subject to standard security screening. Please be aware the crowds may be heavy, maneuvering may be difficult, and there is no place to plug in and recharge.

Are baby Strollers allowed?

Yes. Strollers are allowed and are subject to security checks. The event is not responsible for items left behind.

Can I bring medication or baby formula that must remain cold to the air show?

Yes, but with strict limitations. Medically necessary medication, baby formula, and breast milk may be brought in a soft-sided cooler only. Please note the following requirements:

  • Hard-sided coolers of any size remain strictly prohibited
  • Medications must be accompanied by a valid doctor’s note confirming medical necessity

Can I bring outside food or drinks?

No. Outside food, drinks or alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited. Exceptions are made only for baby formula, breast milk, and medically necessary items.

How will I know where to park?

Comprehensive parking maps will be published prior to the event. Upon arrival, prominent signage and traffic marshals will guide motorists directly to designated parking areas.

Who do I notify is I see something suspicious during the air show?

Immediately report any suspicious activity to on-site security personnel or contact emergency dispatch by calling 911 or 850-882-2000.

How many gates will be open for the air show?

The final parking and traffic flow plan is currently being finalized. Both the East Gate and West Gate are scheduled to be open for people with base access. Detailed traffic plans will be shared as the event approaches and include the plan for base access for non-base affiliated people.

Will people enter and exit using both gates?

Yes, both designated gates will facilitate inbound and outbound traffic.

What is the plan if a child is separated from his/her parent/guardian during the air show?

A dedicated Lost Child / Lost Parent Tent will be established and staffed throughout the event to safely reunite separated families.

Where do I need to go if I’ve lost something to see if it’s been turned in?

Lost and found inquiries should be directed to the main Information Booth located within the air show grounds.

Will people be allowed to bring drones to capture imagery of the air show?

No. The operation of recreational Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS/drones) is strictly prohibited within the airspace and boundaries of Eglin AFB.

What will happen to unattended bags/packages?

Unattended bags or packages will be immediately secured and removed by security personnel. Unattended items may be treated as suspicious, so attendees are reminded to always keep their belongings with them.

What time do the aerial acts perform?

We cannot give a specific schedule since schedules are finalized much closer to the air show. Schedules depend on availability and various conditions.

No. There will be no live stream of the air show.
