5/16/2012 - A pygmy rattlesnake coils up by a tree in the forest behind the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The pygmy rattlesnake is a common species of rattlesnake located in Northwest Florida and can be found throughout the Eglin reservation. The small snake averages between 14 and 22 inches in length.
