Small Business Office

The Small Business Office at Eglin is responsible to the Commander for implementing DoD and Air Force Small Business policies, programs, and procedures for the Air Armament Center and associate units. Specific programs include:
* Small Business (SB)
* Veteran and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business ((SD)VOSB)
* Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) including:
- 8(a)
- American Native Corporation
- Alaska Native Corporation
- Hawaiian Native Corporation
* Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone)
* Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB)
* Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI)

The Small Business Office performs the overall contractor relations function for Eglin and also serves as the liaison with the Small Business Administration at the local and national levels.

The staff works to enhance acquisition opportunities for small businesses in support of the Air Force mission. The Small Business Office is the initial point of contact for businesses seeking contracting opportunities with AAC.

Environmental policy

Any firm who would like to get their information to the base environmental office should send at least four copies of their information in hard copy. A point of contact is established and the packages are passed around to each division to review and see if any managers are interested in the company's capabilities-- if so, then a formal invitation to the firm will be made to come in and give a pitch--
