Eglin is in Health Protection Condition Charlie.  Below is the official and most current version of closures, cancellations and hour changes.

96th Medical Group

The Hospital has a single point of entry at the emergency room entrance.  Masks are required by ALL employees, patients and visitors.

Health screenings for all individuals prior to entering facility. Visitors with flu-like symptoms will not be permitted in the inpatient area.

Acute care concerns will continue to be addressed

Routine appointments will be booked in the future as the situation improves

Visitors must check in at the front desk.  Visitors who have travelled internationally are not permitted to visit 14 days after arrival to US.

Only one adult visitor allowed per patient.

No one under the age of 18 permitted in inpatient or waiting areas.

Visitors should wash hands and maintain six feet separation.

MSU/ICU visiting hours:  7 a.m. – 5 p.m.


All pregnancy appointments continue.  All other appointment types are cancelled.


Hours:  Mon-Fri 7:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Drop off/pick up

Drive-thru:  Mon-Fri 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sat. 8 a.m. – noon Pick up only

The Exceptional Family Medical Program office is closed for walk-in services until further notice.  The staff can be reached via phone at 850-883-9452 during office hours or through the email below.  Documents to be turned in can be done via email or through the drop box outside the office.  Email:  usaf.eafb.96-mdg.mbx.exceptional-family-members-clinic@mail.mil

Effective July 7, Walk in service will no longer be available in the afternoons.  Walk in hours will be from 6:30 a.m. to noon weekdays.  Appointment times are unchanged and can be made by calling the Appointment Line (850) 883-8600, select option #1, then option #3.

Face coverings or masks are now required for BX workers and patrons.  The BX will not provide masks to customers.  This includes the Shopette and gas stations.

Previously authorized camping permits will be honored.

Public Access Map may be intermittently unavailable over the next several weeks.  Please abide by the permanent closed areas delineated in the 2019-20 regulations handbook.  Daily closures will be administered by use of barriers, etc.

The Spring Turkey Season remains open.  Jackson North, Jackson South, Brier Creek West, and Brier Creek South Management Units remain open; however, the check-in/out requirement for these areas is temporarily waived as check stations will not be manned.

Brier Creek East Management Unit is closed.  Brier Creek West and South Management Units are open on weekends only.

Military Personnel Flight


CAC renewal will be limited to 14-days prior to expiration-Appointment Only.

Walk-in service available for Mission Essential personnel only with CAC issues (certs no longer work, pin reset, etc)

CAC will not be reissued for sole purposes of changing information printed on the card such as rank or last name changes due to marital status (marriage and divorce).

No reissuance of CACs for DoD civilians transferring between components.

CACs expiring within 30 days are eligible to have the CAC Public Key Infrastructure certificates updated remotely to allow continued use of the CAC for network logon through 30 Sep 20.

Uniformed Service ID (Retiree, Dependent ID cards)

USID cards will remain valid that expired on or after January 1, 2020 through September 30, 2020 if eligibility can be verified by another DoD source, database, or system. This does not apply to children turning age 21 or 23. Full-time student or secondary dependency will need to be updated if applicable. All stakeholders, i.e., Security Forces, Medical, AAFES, and DECA commissaries has been notified from DoD ID Card Policy.

USID will not be reissued for sole purposes of changing information printed on the card such as rank or last name changes due to marital status.

The minimum age for initial USID card issuance is increased from age 10 to 14.

Continued use of the Reserve USID card to obtain active duty benefits is authorized for mobilized Reserves (includes ANG) and their eligible dependents.  Appointment requests should be emailed to: 96fss.fsps.cs@us.af.mil or by calling 850-882-2742, option 3 during the hours of 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday - Friday.
