EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Col. Christopher Hagemeyer assumed command of the 96th Mission Support Group from Col. Tassika Davis at a change of command ceremony Aug.1, at Eglin.
Brig. Gen. Mark Massaro, 96th Test Wing commander, served as the officiator.
Hagemeyer, the former Air Force Special Operations Command’s logistics readiness division chief, took command of the largest group in the wing. He leads more than 2,200 military, civilian and contract personnel in four diverse squadrons: the 96th Communications Squadron, 96th Force Support Squadron, 96th Logistics Readiness Squadron, and the 96th Security Forces Squadron.
Additionally, the 96th MSG delivers mission support to more than 20,000 military and civilian personnel, along with 60,000 dependents and retirees.
“I know the 96th MSG will continue to excel under your service and care,” Massaro said of Hagemeyer. “I look forward to you taking command. Your accomplished background already speaks volumes about the promising future that awaits you.”
Hagemeyer concluded the ceremony with remarks directed to the men and women of the 96th MSG.
“It is an absolute honor to be part of your team,” he said. “The support you provide to this installation and all of its partners contribute to the overall success of the mission. We will work together while focusing on the priorities of our wing, and I will provide you with mission support priorities necessary to achieve overall success.”
