EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- A bloody, armed battle raged across multiple locations at Eglin Aug. 22- 24 with only a lone four-person fire-team emerging victorious.

The team, from Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado, earned the CONUS E-Sports Championship for Call of Duty.  The Buckley team knocked off seven other teams to claim the belt, an actual professional wrestling-style belt finishing the tournament with a record of 25-1.  They swept the Hill AFB, Utah team in all four scenarios and maps.

The championship, managed by Air Force Gaming, was the first one held at Eglin’s USO gaming complex.  This event was just a few weeks after the Defense Department held a gaming championship at the location.
